Where are things in the world?

This is the physical location of a place. It is usually referred to by its longitude or latitude. Longitude runs north and south on a globe and latitude runs in the same way as the Equator, or east to west. The exact location that is expressed by these coordinates is the absolute location.

What makes things special?

These would be things that you would use to describe where you live. For example, is the temperature usually warm, cold, hot, dry, humid, etc.? What is the soil like? Is it sandy or rocky? Is it near a body of water? What kind of historical events occurred there? What about the language, government or architecture? These are the things that make up the character of a place.
