About Our Degrees

The CLAW University contains numerous colleges.

• The College of Ethics is focused on ethics and right behaviors.
• The College of Self-Growth serves as a "community education' college and offers certificates instead of degrees.
• The Graphics College is designed to train students in the computer graphical arts.
• The Science College focuses on general general science.
• The Veterinary Science College covers veterinary knowledge and applications.
• The Sports and Recreation College trains students in the hunt and also offers classes in game play and recreation.
• A College of Human Sciences, and other colleges will be opening in the near future.

Note: Degrees are awarded only to the cat who earns them and to living cats. Cats who go to the Rainbow Bridge before they can complete a degree may receive an honorary diploma upon request to the University President. To receive an honorary diploma, the cat must have demonstrated that she/he is working for a degree when the unfortunate situation occurs.

Degrees in the College of Ethics

Honorable

Our basic degree is the degree of Honorable. This degree is required of all CLAW members. If you want to remain a member of CLAW you must take the required courses and earn this degree.

The degree of Honorable is required before earning any other degree. You must earn the Honorable degree in a different trimester than any other degree. In other mews, you cannot earn the Honorable degree and a master or doctorate during the same trimester.

Master of Ethics (ME)

The Master of Ethics is a non-thesis degree requiring only additional class work. To earn this degree you must first earn the degree of Honorable.

In another trimester, you then must complete an additional 10 classes. Classes that you took while working for an Honorable degree may count. A total of 20 classes, including all required classes, are required for the degree of Master of Ethics.

Ethics Doctorate (EtD)

The Ethics Doctorate degree requires the completion of both Honorable and Master of Ethics degrees. Then, after receiving these two degrees, a cat may apply to work for a EtD degree.

To apply for a degree of EtD, a cat should write the current University President (see the officers list). If the member is approved to begin work on this degree, the member must agree upon a project with the University President. This project must be approved by the President before the cat begins work (although previous approved and accepted classes may count IF President agrees.)

Examples of suitable projects are classes, research papers, and books. These projects must be within the parameters of the mission of CLAW (ie; materials that will help cats in some way).

Degrees in the College of Self-Growth

The College of Self-Growth offers certiciates instead of degrees. To complete a certificate a cat must successfully complete five classes in the certificate program, and then apply tor receive the certificate using the Graduate Application Form.

Multiple certificates may be earned in a single term. If ten classes are available in a single certificate program, a cat may earn two certificates in that program.

Graphics College

Degrees in the Graphics College

The College of Graphic Arts is comprised of two schools - The School of Paint Shop Pro and The School of Photoimpact. Students can obtain a Graphics Artist degree in either one or both schools. The two degrees offered are: The Graphic Artist Degree in Paint Shop Pro The Graphic Artist Degree in Photoimpact

Undergraduate--Graphic Artist degree

To receive a Graphic Artist degree, students must have successful completion of all classes in either the School of Paint Shop Pro or the School of Photoimpact. Students can pursue all Classes in both schools and can receive a Graphic Artists Degree in both Paint Shop Pro and Photoimpact, if they so choose.

Graduate Level--Master Artist degrees

After completing the Graphic Artist Degree, the student will need to complete six online tutorials and master the applications that are in them.

Graduate degrees in Photo Impact are not offered at this time.

Graduate Level--Doctorate Degree

The Paint Shop Pro School of Higher Learning is a new direction for CLAW Paint Shop Pro users. This school has no grades or points but does provide wonderful Paint Shop Pro tutorials, fun, and a way to grow and learn new skills and applications. If you know Paint Shop Pro and have your honorable degree - you are eligible to join. Every month there will be three levels of tutorials provide - a beginner, intermediate and advanced. You can do one or all three. We also will provide an egroup where tutorial links can be posted and shared. The tutorials that will be provided will enhance your knowledge and skill in Paint Shop Pro and open up new doors of creativity. .

Doctorate Graphics Arts Paint Shop Pro

For those who have completed the required six tutorials for the Masters, an additional tutorial written by the student, himself will be required to achieve the doctorate.

College of Science

Degrees in the Science College

Master of Science

Requirements: ten classes in the department.

Doctorate of Science

Requirements: An earned Master of Science degree and an approved project.

College of Veterinary Science

Department of Veterinary Science

Master of Veterinary Science

Requirements: ten classes in the department, including the required classes.

Clinical Doctorate of Veterinary Science

Requirements: an earned Master of Veterinary Science Degree and a research paper on some aspect of clinical veterinary science. Detailed descriptions of approved clinical experience, or a clinical oriented class, may substitute for the paper.

Research Doctorate of Veterinary Science

Requirements: an earned Master of Veterinary Science Degree and an approved project.

Degrees in the College of Sports and Recreation

Master of Sports and Recreation

For the degree of Master of Sports and Recreation a total of ten classes from the Sports and Recreation College are required. Certain classes are required and must be completed for this degree. The rest of the ten classes may be selected from any of the classes in the College of Sports and recreation.

Also required for this degree is the degree of honorable from the College of Ethics. This degree must have already been rewarded in a previous term.

Doctorate of the Hunt

Before a student applies for this degree the student must have already earned the degree of Master of Sports and Recreation. For degree requirements contact the Dean of the College of Sports and Recreation.

Degrees in the College of Human Studies

Master of Human Studies

For the degree of Master of Human Studies a total of ten classes from the Human Studies College are required. Certain classes are required and must be completed for this degree. The rest of the ten classes may be selected from any of the classes in the College of Human Studies.

Also required for this degree is the degree of honorable from the College of Ethics. This degree must have already been rewarded in a previous term.

Doctorate of the Human Studies

Before a student applies for this degree the student must have already earned the degree of Master of Human Studies. For degree requirements contact the Dean of the College of Human Studies.

Requirements for these degrees may vary from trimester to trimester, but the requirements will always remain simple enough for even our youngest member to complete.
